Albany Board of Aldermen approves ordinance, decides dates for city-wide garage sales

The Albany Board of Aldermen met in their regular session Tuesday evening. Items discussed were dates for the city wide garage sales, the city wide cleanup and an ordinance to approve an amendment.

City Administrator Derek Brown says the amendment was for the interconnect repayment agreement between the city of Albany and Roeslein Alternative Energy of Missouri, LLC.

"Roeslein Alternative Energy is a company affiliated with Smithfield Hog Farms and they process methane and by natural gas from us.  We have an agreement with them to repay us for some infrastructure improvements that we had to make to serve them.  So we made an amendment to that process last night through an ordinance."

The city wide garage sales will be September 21 and the city wide cleanup will be September 26. The next regular meeting will be held on October 1 at 5 p.m.
